I had a wonderful day yesterday exploring Asheville's River Arts District with its working studios and galleries galore, followed by an exciting visit to the bustling downtown with my precious friend, Beth. Here are a few of the photos I took along the way.
Love this inspirational piece hanging in one of the galleries, I wonder if the artist changes the quote from time to time...The picture that is hanging on the bottom right is done by one of my favorite artists who had a showing recently in our Old Rock School gallery in Valdese, her name is Cynthia Decker. Click the image to visit her amazing website.
We had the most amazing dinner at Early Girls Eatery in downtown Asheville. Click this image to visit their awesome website. If you every go, get what I had: Sweet Potato and Black Bean cakes with sour cream and avocado salsa, with collard greens, macaroni and cheese and their delicious cornbread. I promise you will love this farm to table restaurant! Everything is homemade daily!
There you have part one of my wonderful birthday weekend, (thank you so much, Beth, I loved it!!) now I'm off to spend the day with my adorable husband to take lots of pictures with my new birthday camera. Yippeeeee!!
